PORTLAND, Ore. and FUERTH, Germany – February 26, 2007 – Paessler, the network monitoring company, today announced the availability of IPCheck™ Server Monitor version 5.4 which improves the user interface for use in medium to large networks.
Paessler introduces the concept of tagging to its network monitoring software, IPCheck Server Monitor. This concept makes it easier to manage sensors in medium to large networks (500-2,000 sensors) because it makes navigating the interface much faster. With just one mouse click, the user gets an overview of all routers, all Web servers, or all data lines in the network. Network administrators can custom-configure tags for their sensor list to fit their network.
Other new features include the possibility to monitor Windows® event logs as well as support for the new ICQ® protocol, enabling notifications about up and downtime to be sent to popular ICQ clients in addition to pager or SMS messages.
